OVERVIEW:
Dancers are professional performers who tell stories with their bodies, using choreographed routines to entertain audiences. They usually participate in productions for theatres, television, and movies. When they're not performing, dancers spend much of their time rehearsing and attending classes to improve their skills.

NECESSARY TRAINING:
No degree is necessary, but many dance companies require formal training through accredited schools and/or a minimum amount of experience. In addition, dancers will need to audition, either with a video submission or in person.
