EXAMPLES:
Having one's living space broken into while one is there, either alone or with family, and then being forced through the ordeal of being robbed, victimized, assaulted (physically, mentally or sexually), and possibly even kidnapped.

BASIC NEEDS OFTEN COMPROMISED BY THIS WOUND:
physiological needs, safety and security, love and belonging, esteem and recognition, self-actualization

LIES THAT MAY DEVELOP FOR CHARACTERS WITH THIS WOUND:
Strangers should be feared
Any unknown person is a potential threat
They weren't safe in their own home, so they're not safe anywhere
Sympathy (empathy, kindness, etc.) is a sign of weakness
They can't keep their loved ones safe
They're to blame for what happened (for not having proper home security, not locking the door, not being strong enough, etc.)
The police are inept and can't offer protection
The world is full of evil people
Control is only an illusion
