HELPFUL TIP:

When planning a cast member's talents and skills, think about how genetics, personality traits (both positive attributes and flaws), past experiences, environment, and the character's roles (within a family, a community, and society) all factor into what strengths may form. These special qualities should tie into the story, not only to make the character interesting but also to help him achieve his goal.
DEFINITION:
Using herbs and herbal preparations to maintain health and treat physical ailments

DESCRIPTION:
Before modern doctors and medicine, herbalism was often the only medical resource available to the general public. A character with this skill has a deep knowledge of herbs and plants, their medicinal properties, and can use them to maintain health and cure ills. A modern day practitioner with a similar skill set would be specific types of naturopaths. Those who embrace this type of healing do so out of a growing distaste for current medicinal practices and a desire to return to a more natural method of healing.

BENEFICIAL STRENGTHS OR ABILITIES:
Basic knowledge of botany
Being able to forage, find, and prepare the plants that one needs
Having a thirst for knowledge
An understanding of human physiology, psychology, and the common ailments associated with both
