HELPFUL TIP:

A deeply embedded fear often stems from trauma, so it can be helpful to explore emotional wounds that may be a factor. Your character might also become risk-averse, which can create problems in their relationships and limit their fulfillment. And for a character to achieve their story goal, they must overcome any fear-based thinking that's holding them back. The Character Builder is a great resource for pulling all these factors together.
NOTES:
As social beings, it's common for humans to seek out others for support, companionship, or safety. But alone time is also important for people to be able to rest, reflect, recharge, and be comfortable with themselves. A character who fears isolation won't be able to do these things because of the intense discomfort that arises when they're alone. So, this entry will explore what the fear of being physically separated from others can look like. If your character fears emotional isolation and the feeling of being disconnected from people, see the LONELINESS entry.
