Conflict is your story’s secret sauce, supplying tension, friction, and complications to a character’s journey. It comes in a million different forms, so identify the obstacles and problems that will hit your character the hardest by using the Character Builder to uncover their primary insecurities, fears , and desires. Don’t forget to include everyday conflict scenarios that will frustrate them and keep the pressure high.

Someone stealing the character's identity
Thieves targeting the character's finances (cash, credit cards, bank accounts, etc.)

An item with sentimental value being stolen (pictures, gifts, heirlooms, keepsakes, etc.)

A wallet being pickpocketed
A thief taking the character's access card to a secure area of a building
Family property—land, resources, or mineral wealth—being redistributed because of a legal loophole or shady bank dealings
