HELPFUL TIP:

Conflict is your story’s secret sauce, supplying tension, friction, and complications to a character’s journey. It comes in a million different forms, so identify the obstacles and problems that will hit your character the hardest by using the Character Builder to uncover their primary insecurities, fears , and desires. Don’t forget to include everyday conflict scenarios that will frustrate them and keep the pressure high.

A religious leader's behavior or beliefs being challenged by their parishioners
A military officer's command being threatened by soldiers going rogue
A referee losing control of a game they're officiating
A teacher being continually disrespected by their students

MINOR COMPLICATIONS:

The character yelling or using threats to try to regain control
Having to discipline a disobedient child or teen
Enduring backtalk, snide remarks, and sarcasm
No one showing up to the character's meetings
Having to make concessions to keep problems from escalating

Dealing with propaganda produced by the opposition (attacks in social media, false information being distributed, etc.)
