HELPFUL TIP:

Conflict is your story’s secret sauce, supplying tension, friction, and complications to a character’s journey. It comes in a million different forms, so identify the obstacles and problems that will hit your character the hardest by using the Character Builder to uncover their primary insecurities, fears , and desires. Don’t forget to include everyday conflict scenarios that will frustrate them and keep the pressure high.

EXAMPLES:
Fleeing to safety and stability amid a political, humanitarian, or economic crisis
Marrying someone who lives far away
Being sold, kidnapped, or trafficked
Attending a school away from home
Accepting a distant job opportunity 
Pursuing diplomatic or missionary work
A natural disaster making the character's home or homeland unlivable 
Having to seek critical medical care in another location
Receiving serious and credible threats that push the character to start over elsewhere
Relocating to take care of an ill family member
