HELPFUL TIP:

Conflict is your story’s secret sauce, supplying tension, friction, and complications to a character’s journey. It comes in a million different forms, so identify the obstacles and problems that will hit your character the hardest by using the Character Builder to uncover their primary insecurities, fears , and desires. Don’t forget to include everyday conflict scenarios that will frustrate them and keep the pressure high.

EXAMPLES:
Being haunted by a ghost
Being possessed by a demon
Being cursed by a jealous or mischievous witch
Being targeted by an immortal because the character's connection to a god makes them a threat
The character being targeted because of their involvement in a powerful prophecy
Being chosen as a siren's next victim
A formidable beast targeting the character because of his occupation as a monster hunter
Being hunted by a monster from another dimension
Being targeted for termination by a cyborg from the future
Having to escape a dinosaur, kraken, or dragon
Being attacked by a werewolf or vampire

MINOR COMPLICATIONS:
Not understanding exactly what's happening
Being unable to find things because they've been moved by an unseen force
Household disturbances interrupting the character's sleep
Children who are frightened and must be calmed down
Experiencing lost time 
Not being able to clearly recall what happened during the attack (because of the magic involved or the character's memory being tampered with)
Not being able to tell anyone because no one would believe it
The character getting into trouble for what happens while they're under the entity's control
Enduring minor inconveniences from a curse (having to wear gloves to avoid touching people, needing to stay out of sunlight, etc.)
The character's possessions being destroyed in an attack
Having to spend time learning new skills, languages, and lore
Having to seek out special resources, weapons, or experts
