HELPFUL TIP:

Conflict is your story’s secret sauce, supplying tension, friction, and complications to a character’s journey. It comes in a million different forms, so identify the obstacles and problems that will hit your character the hardest by using the Character Builder to uncover their primary insecurities, fears , and desires. Don’t forget to include everyday conflict scenarios that will frustrate them and keep the pressure high.
CATEGORY:
No-win scenarios, failures and mistakes, moral dilemmas and temptations, duty and responsibility, increased pressure and ticking clocks, power struggles, ego-related conflict

EXAMPLES:
The character being assigned a job where the negative outcome is already suspected or known 
Being deprived of basic needs, such as food, water, or sleep, in order to be broken down
Being provided with insufficient financial resources
Being assigned a job that is beyond one's skill set
Being denied the materials needed to complete a task
Being assigned an impossible deadline
A highly moral character being placed in a situation that will require them to compromise their beliefs to win their freedom
Entering a rigged competition or contest
The character being put in a situation tailored to her weakness so a failure can be used against her
A young or new character being pitted against a seasoned competitor they cannot beat
A student being given an assignment that is too advanced for them
Being tested on material that hasn't been covered
Being set up in a romantic relationship with someone who has ulterior motives or goals that oppose the character's
Being used as a scapegoat so others can avoid the fallout tied to their bad decisions

MINOR COMPLICATIONS:
Having to be creative in obtaining resources
Needing to ask for help from others
Having to deal with unreasonable or difficult people (any port in a storm)
Finding the time to make up for deficiencies
Maintaining a positive attitude
Being in an uncomfortable situation
Appearing ungrateful or negative
Needing to trade or bargain to obtain what one needs
Feeling duped
Finding the courage to remove oneself from the situation once it's clear what's going on
Speaking out against the unfairness and being labeled as paranoid or a troublemaker
