HELPFUL TIP:

Conflict is your story’s secret sauce, supplying tension, friction, and complications to a character’s journey. It comes in a million different forms, so identify the obstacles and problems that will hit your character the hardest by using the Character Builder to uncover their primary insecurities, fears , and desires. Don’t forget to include everyday conflict scenarios that will frustrate them and keep the pressure high.

Losing an advantage, loss of control, power struggles, dangers and threats

EXAMPLES:
The character's home address being discovered by a threatening person or entity
A child's safe place (a treehouse, playground, park, or school) being vandalized 
A safe house being discovered by nefarious actors
A neutral space in a conflict becoming compromised
Rioters occupying roads and public areas
The character discovering that their home, car, or office has been bugged
The character experiencing threatening or violent behavior in their home
The character learning that a child predator is working at their kids' school
A gunman entering a church or other public gathering place
Being monitored at work or home by someone who is a threat
Someone the character knows entering their group therapy session
A rival or enemy joining the character's social group
A controlling, manipulative, or abusive person joining the character's household

Having to file documentation with law enforcement or a legal representative
